Chibi Labs operates the Chibi mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider. We use this information solely to create and identify your account.
Text messages and voice audio you send to your companion are processed to generate responses. Voice audio is transcribed to text for processing and is not stored in raw audio form beyond the transcription step. Chat history is stored in your account so your companion can remember prior conversations.
When you enable the "Watch Together" feature, the App captures frames of your screen and sends them to our servers for real-time AI analysis. This data is used only to generate your companion's reactions. Screen frame data is not retained after processing — it is discarded within seconds of analysis.
We collect anonymized usage metrics (which features you use, session duration, error logs) to understand how the App is being used and to improve it. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.
Subscription and in-app purchase transactions are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive a confirmation of your subscription status but do not store or process your payment card details.
We may collect your device type and operating system version to provide technical support and ensure compatibility.
We do not use your data to train AI models without your explicit consent. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We work with the following providers to deliver the App's features. Each operates under their own privacy policies.
We retain your account data and chat history for as long as you have an active account. Screen content captured during Watch Together is discarded within seconds of processing and is never stored long-term.
When you delete your account, all associated personal data — including your profile, chat history, and preferences — is permanently deleted within 30 days.
All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect stored data. No system is 100% secure; if you discover a security issue, please report it to chibilovesyoucorp@gmail.com.

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continuing to use the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
